replacing a ballast

i have a ballast out in my own bed its one of the old ones - 120 volt firing 2 100 watt t12 bulbs - can i replace this with a reg ballast or does it need to be a tanning bed ballast ? most ballast now are going to the electronic ones think ?
whats the best thing to do ?
